LaVerna,

has leg cramps too. He kicks his leg alot and thrashes around

like a movement disorder too. Sounds like a common thread with the wean and we

will hang in there.

I have not tried melatonin for him. It was never suggested to me. How much

would you give to a 45 pound, 6 yr old boy??

Thanks for your input

La Verna,

We are down to 125 mg at night and that is all. I am going to wait until the

ear infection gets better and then wean 1/2 pill at a time. IF its really

rough, maybe 1/4 pill to the last drop.

We give Zanaflex to put him to sleep and it works wonderful to

get hm to sleep but he wakes up after a couple of hours and starts his grunting,

leg kicking, crying etc for usually all of the night. Last night, he slept

from 8-4 so that was so nice. I think the antibiotic for the ear infection and

motrin and ear numbing drops and 6 mg Zanaflex may have helped.

Thanks for your input-We'll try the melatonin after he gets better.

Thanks
