Zanna and everyone! I need advise for my sister!

I don't know what to tell you, Lesley. I have never been dx with FM but my doctor implied that I probably had it along with the PM. She definitely needs to get to the doctor though. Make sure she doesn't skip out on that appointment. I really hope she feels better, and I will send up a prayer for her.

Hi Zanna,

I'm OK thanks, but still feel a bit peculiar! As I've tapered down another

step on the pred (now 5mg/7.5mg alt) I am putting it down to this, but I

keep getting giddy spells and have to lie down for a while, then I'm fine

again! Can't quite put my finger on what is wrong but don't want to contact

the neuro at this stage as I'm afraid he'll increase the dose again.

Everyone,

Now I am concerned about my sister. Like me, she has Raynaud's but really

badly and is always freezing cold. She has bad pain in her left leg and arm

and a lot of numbness. She saw a neuro a month ago who told her is was

physical migraine which she accepted at the time but is now much worse. I

went shopping with her on Wednesday and it was obvious that her leg was

giving her pain but she is not a whinger like me! When I asked her she said

she felt like chopping it off! I have forced her to make another appt with

the neuro and have been wondering if she could have fibromyalgia. I looked

it up but the only thing is she has it only on one side of her body, but all

the symptoms are accurate. Any suggestions any one? I want her to be armed

with some knowledge when she has her appointment as she is a shy and

accepting person and may get fobbed off again. She is 52. Appt Tuesday.

Hi Lesley... I think it may be a good idea for your sister to write down every symptom she has experienced and show the list to the doctor. I finally had to resort to doing that because they never gave me enough office time to get it all out verbally. I think it helped tremendously. Of course, this was ten years ago...doctors knew lots less then. Annette

Hi, Lesley. Unfortunately, I don't know what this could be but it doesn't sound

good. Is it possible that you accompany her to the Neuro to speak up on her

behalf?? It may be something with her circulation. Keep us posted how she

makes out.
