Hi to all,

I am re-joining the list thanks to some encouraging e-mails I have received privately.

To June-------- I have read again the e-mails posted, and I may understand now that my religious story could have been interpreted in the wrong way, because of some posts exchanged by you with somebody else, just before my story .

My deepest apologies, June. It wasn't my intention to hurt you in any way.

I have never showed intention to evangelized you (I believe so, but if I am wrong let me know where and when I tried so I can learn from my mistakes and never bother you again) and you can trust me that I will never try to do it.

I believe in freedom, and I want to feel myself free to post what I want, with respect for moral and decency, as I enjoy to read other people posts.

We had for a while a woman (I don't remember her name" that wrote and posted poems, I wonder how she is doing.

Dealing with cancer (I have been there 3 times, for BC, a melanoma and a thyroid cancer), I believe there is yes a need for information, but also a need for sharing and some other different things that help us to turn away our mind from our nightmares, even if for the time of a e-mail.

I may again post religious stories, but I will make a note of that in the subject of the e-mail, so you and other can chose not to read it, and not to be offended by that. I believe that it is not right for me and for others that may enjoy these stories to be limited by the ones that don't, when the use of the button "delete" is so simple.

I will talk about God only with the ones that seem to enjoy Him in their e-mails.

I am willing, if you want to share with me privately your phone number, to call you and ask your forgiveness by phone.

I am again deeply sorry to have hurt you. I admire your strenght and courage.

I am sorry for my poor English (I am Italian), but I hope that my message is clear.

To all------ sorry for this "n" debate.

As June wrote once....peace ?

Well, we have something in common, I'm Italian too, well, half, but I don't speak the language, unfortunately.

In the words of Pumba (Lion King) "You've got to put your past in your behind," So let's put it behind us.

I found the post offensive because it was atheist bashing in my opinion. I apologize for my harsh words, but not for speaking up for feeling slammed.

Again, talking about religion in posts is one thing, proselytizing or trying to push religion on others is another. I don't like people telling me or others that I or we have to get right with god, find god, get saved, etc... I find it morally reprehensible for people to decide what is right religiously for other people. Religion is a private matter for each person and everyone has their own belief. When you tell people they have to get right with your religion you are slamming what they might believe if it differs from your belief. Cabeesh? ;-) (sorry for the lousy Italian spelling and bastardization of the language, I only know how to say it like I've heard it pronounced.).

I believe that in the story I shared that professor was mocking God, and the marine had an excessive reaction to express his opinion, but yes, I see your point.

Please, please, tell me : in the past, since you joined the list, have I ever tried to tell you that you have to get right with God, etc. ? Did I ever do that ? Did I ever said to you that you need to be saved ?

If yes, show me when and where, so I will not repeat in the future this burden on you, for the sake of the peace in this list, and I will do my best to respect your personal boundaries.

You can keep your belief, as I am keeping mine, and we can both keep doing good to others in our way.

Sounds cool to me.

Peace

Actually yes, in a round about way. It seems you attacked my first post when I first joined, well, it was the 2nd time, by misinterpreting what I wrote and telling others that I needed to become a Christian:

DO NOT GO..........let her go. She needs to find the way to the cross. She is in pain in her soul, and she is scared and probably alone, in her heart. She is fussing because in need of hugs, and comfort, but she doesn't have God so she has expectation that everybody else can fulfill her emotional needs. Wrong. Only God can. But she doesn't know that.

Pray for her, instead, see 1 Corinthians 13 and use LOVE.

Re: Doris and nne, it is between them. Let it go, and let God. Hopefull Doris will e-mail to nna privatly, and solve the issue by themselves.

If you are a Christian, you are a warrior for God. Don't let the enemy of our soul defeat you, and make you leave. Pray for the atheist, pray for nna and Doris, pray for peace, wisdom, and understanding. Put on your protective armor, and pray.

And stay...

So let's just move on and agree not to go there. HUGS
