Guest guest
Pearl, A lot of meat has additives. I had never even considered the idea before we went GFCF and I began searching intently for these ingredients in stuff. We used to buy frozen chicken breasts until I realized that they contained up to 15% " broth " , which consisted of unnamed ingredients. We have found only a few places that don't inject pork and chicken with additives. Beef hasn't ever been much of an issue. I'm not sure why pork and chicken are injected so often. But if you look at chicken labels, you'll see the " solution " or " broth " mentioned on the labels. The pork is more difficult to spot. I had seen it on a label and then asked the meat department and all of the pork in the regular grocery had been injected with a " solution " . Surprisingly, Sam's Club told us that they sell their meat so quickly that they do not inject the fresh pork in their cases with any solutions or broth. Guest guest
Does anyone know if the Wal-Mart brand (Great value) of the boneless, skinless chicken breast fillets are legal? I've assumed that they are. The label says that its rib meat containing up to 15% solution of water, salt, & sodium phosphates. I thought it looked good but maybe I'm wrong. Please advise.
