Is baby food legal?

I understand that vegetables in cans and jars are not legal, but

what about baby food? Baby food is vegetables in a jar, but there

are no additives. If the label says " green beans " , then all that's

in it is green beans and water. So would baby food be legal, or is

it something about the can/jar process that makes it illegal?

Shanna,

So sorry but commercial baby food is illegal. Just puree home made food in

blender or food processor.

It's the same story. Undisclosed ingredients. There was a scandal a few years

ago with a leading company having sugar in some of their product.
