Guest guest
Hi Sharon, went to see Dr Fuss to check the progress on the IMRT. I did take the time to ask him if they could do IMRT on a liver tumor of 5cm. He said, absolutely YES, the liver can take a lot more than the lungs. He was amazed at the answer that you got from your Oncologist. He said to try going direct to the Radiology Dept with your Moms films. He also said that San is doing more of the procedure than most institutions. He did recommend the University of Iowa for people living in that region. IF you call the University of Iowa ask for Dr. Buatti and mention that Dr. Fuss told you about the procedure. Hope this helps, Joyce
Guest guest
Joyce, You are so sweet and kind to remember about my mom's situation, considering that you have plenty on your own plate. Mom was supposed to hear from the docs at UVA " soon " (that was Friday a week ago) according to the oncologist. She has heard nothing. We don't live anywhere near Iowa but thanks for checking out the IMRT. Hoping all went well with , Sharon > Hi Sharon, > went to see Dr Fuss to check the progress on the IMRT. > I did take the time to ask him if they could do IMRT on a liver > tumor of 5cm.
