Guest guest Posted September 2, 2002 Report Share Posted September 2, 2002 Exactly, Zanna Apparently, last year or sometime, Jerry made a comment about those with disability-- concerning the whole issue of pity- and said that if those in wheelchairs didn't want any pity, then they should stay inside their homes. ( I take this to mean that how can we expect to NOT get any pity from others is we are obviously disabled, in a wheelchair, etc.) I honestly don't think he was meaning to totally disparage those with disabilities- just sort of stating the way it is. Granted, everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, disabled or not. Many people often say something " off the cuff " that they should not say, too.I'm absolutely I have been guilty of that So, now that jerry lewis is on Pred and doesn't look like he used to (the pred weight gain and bloat), Jim seems to have made his comment to " get back " at Jerry.... something I don't think too highly of, either.
