Hi Fran, though not as specific as your comment I was thinking on the

same lines. I imagine it's a relatively straight forward (though not

pleasant!) test to measure the calorific content of what is excreted?

Do you think you are absorbing most of your 4000 calories or do you

think a substantial amount is still getting through?

I'm guessing that knowing whether the calories are going straight

through or been burnt by the body is a useful bit of the jigsaw.

Wade: Have you checked out whether you have a thyroid problem or

whether you are feeding a tapeworm? If I remember correctly a

tapeworm can eat an awful lot. Isabelle.
