legal chewing gum/ ideas for making own

Are there any legal chewing gums? I think this might really help avoid putting

everthing in his mouth and also help give him oral motor practice. Any ideas

for making one's own? Thanks

Chewing gum is mentioned on Elaine's website and is not legal but I often just

suck on a prune or date pit for a while or chew dried mango.

there are chewy tubes and of various kind and other mouth toys in many OT
