Guest guest
adrienne, i had trouble with this recipe too. it was great the first time i made it and after that i wasnt sure what was doing wrong. i finally went back and read the recipe. i realized i was not draining it properly. it really has to be in a colender lined with paper towels. before this i was just laying pileson a plate lined with paper towel. it ended up being greasy and delicious (i hate to admit this) but not crunchy. donna in NJ > > HI, > I was wondering if you could help me with the Carrot Curl recipe. Guest guest
Hi Adrienne, > Does the oil have to be a certain temperature in > the frying pan or are they not meant to come out crunchy when you fry > them this way? It maybe that it can't get to high enough heat in a fry pan. A frying pan is shallow and open. If you tried a taller pot with a few inches of oil that may work better. (That's what I have used in the past). As a precaution - Don't forget to have some baking soda on hand in case you have a fat fire.
