adrienne,

i had trouble with this recipe too. it was great the first time i

made it and after that i wasnt sure what was doing wrong. i finally

went back and read the recipe. i realized i was not draining it

properly. it really has to be in a colender lined with paper towels.

before this i was just laying pileson a plate lined with paper

towel. it ended up being greasy and delicious (i hate to admit this)

but not crunchy.

It maybe that it can't get to high enough heat in a fry pan. A

frying pan is shallow and open. If you tried a taller pot with a

few inches of oil that may work better. (That's what I have used in

the past). As a precaution - Don't forget to have some baking soda

on hand in case you have a fat fire.

frying pan is shallow and open. If you tried a taller pot with a
