Guest guest
In my limited experiences, most county attorneys have NO idea how to bid an EMS contract, and smaller communities will NOT pay for a good consultant. It's a shame. Mike Re: Wise County info It sounds to me like you would like Careflite to take over Wise Co so you could shorten your drive to work and show the people of Wise County what the Care in Careflite means. Also, I fail to see how your comments have put it all " in perspective " . I have read the messenger since day one and have mostly laughed at all that was written in the opinion columns. I really would like to know if they truly believe that Careflite would take over a contract at midnight with a crew of people that had no clue how to get around in Wise county? I think some common sense needs to be used and realize that Careflite could not even begin to run in Wise County without hiring and utilizing the existing crews that qualify to work as Careflite personnel. I am not in any way stating that Wise County EMS is better or worse than any EMS in the state of Texas but I would really like to know how they can compare protocols with another service when they have never seen the other services protocols. I will continue to read the Messenger and see how many people of the county run Careflite into the ground without even knowing what Careflite is about. I live in a County just Northwest of Wise and I obviously work for Careflite in Dallas and I have to say that every job has its ups and downs but Careflite as a whole is a great company to work for. I do not know what will happen with Wise County but I will say that if Careflite takes over they will be in just as good of hands if not better than what the County has now because it will still be the same crews that they are used to seeing with maybe a few people that would love to come to Wise County and show them why Care is the first part of Careflite. Guest guest
On a humorous note, I'd submit that many county attorneys don't know how to bid a contract PERIOD. Thus, you place yourself in the hands of the county purchasing agent, who probably doesn't know how to bid an EMS contract either. -Wes Re: Wise County info It sounds to me like you would like Careflite to take over Wise Co so you could shorten your drive to work and show the people of Wise County what the Care in Careflite means. Guest guest
Which brings me back to a good consultant. Worth their weight in gold. Or 4x4's. Whichever. :-) Re: Wise County info It sounds to me like you would like Careflite to take over Wise Co so you could shorten your drive to work and show the people of Wise County what the Care in Careflite means.
