Guest guest
I read your post to Rick ......... he's amazed that everyone is " amazed " at him! ;-) He has never once read these posts ... I've read him many of them off and on, but he has no idea how great his story is! I have certainly told him how fortunate he's been, but it would really amaze him if he ever read many of the stories here. He chooses not to ..... says it's hard enough to stay " up " and that he does not want to hear the negative stuff. Guess it works for him! ;- ) It made him feel good to know that his story is encouraging to others ...........thanks so much for sharing that with us! > Had Avastin Tuesday with FOLFOX 6 WBC and RC were great and platelets back up > to 122. > Whew. > His drip was also 1/2 hr but so far no worse than before. > He did get nauseous and threw up in the middle of the Oxi/Leuc drips (despite > having a Zofran drip prior to chemo) I don't know what that was about. Guest guest
He does standard Zofran drips prior to chemo. This is the first time that has happened and I hope it is just a fluke. He has been having a lot of heartburn lately. Don't know what that might be about. They did the PT scan last week so we should have a more concrete idea of what's happening soon. I am in a better frame of mind. Found out I am going through Menopause YIPPPEE!! (NOT) and have decided to fire therapist #2. I have some things I really need to work through in dealing with all this. I admit some of my feelings are not in line with how things truly are at the moment but this therapist is not helping me confront that. I am looking for some relaxation techniques and maybe a med change to help me through periods of anxiety so I can hopefully regain some cointrol over my emotions. Hope things are going well for you. Guest guest
Sorry to hear about the throwing up in the middle of chemo.. thats none too pleasant. I would hope they do more pre treatment anti nausea treatments the next round. Everyone is so different when it comes to chemo.. I think it is the standard to do some pre treatment meds.. but ultimately the patient and his/ her reaction should dictate what course of pre treatment is best. I certyainly hope this is not indicative of what's to come in the coming days.... a flipper759@... wrote: Had Avastin Tuesday with FOLFOX 6 WBC and RC were great and platelets back up to 122. Whew.
