Guest guest Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 , Hi and welcome to this group. This is a perfect place to get most of your questions answered not to mention lots of peace of mind! So sorry I'm posting so long after your intro...It's been quite hectic lately. I wanted to reply because I'm also UD and I had a lot of the questions you have. >>> My doctor > says if one is significantly smaller than the other that she would > want to have it removed prior to pregnancy. Has anyone heard of > this? Yes, I have heard of removing one uteri, but I also read that it can be risky. What suggested about a unilateral ligation is great advice. I have two non-equal uteri but my Dr. did not suggest removing one of them. It just so happened that the tube on that side is blocked so I guess I have a " natural " ligation ;-) >>>I have a septum and my husband and i use one side > exclusively. If we are only haveing sex on that side doesn't it > make sense that we would get pregnant in that uterus? It does make sense but in the world of ttcing remember unless you stand on your head for quite a while after bd'ing those little swimmers just might swim over the divide and into the other side. I tried for years to get preg - 10 total, only 3 with fertility awareness though. My right ovary doesn't produce follicles, my left does, my right tube is open though and as I said before my other tube is blocked. Through a miracle I got pregnant in May of 03. I don't know if God " thumped " my ovary or he directed a follicle from the left side to swim over to the right side but something did happen. Anything is possible when ttcing that's for sure Well, I'm sorry if TMI...I'm quite tired, my little miracle has been sick and I'm not getting much sleep. I just wanted to say good luck and don't lose hope. There is a lot of information out there that is discouraging and lots of Dr's don't have good MA knowledge. Find a good dr (sounds like you have) and listen to the good reports, check out all the beautiful baby pictures too. UD has a very high positive preg. outcome. We just get more opportunities to see our babies before they are born with frequent US's. Margarite 33 UD mom to Bethany, now 10 months! Quote
