Hi Greta,

>He drinks about 1 to 1 and 1/2 qt apple juice/water mixture a day.

When do you get to stop or start reducing the dilution with water?

>Are there anymore suggestions on hiding more veggies/fruits? I'm

thinking of making yogurt ice cream has anyone had luck adding cooked

pureed fruit (cooled of course) into this?

How about the sneaky veggie panckes at http://pecanbread.com/recipes.html

Or a meatloaf with lots of veggies baked in. Same for chicken pancakes I think

you could hide a lot of veggies in those.

Apple juice isn't legal on the diet - unless you make your own. Some apple

ciders are okay. If he is constipated now is probably not a good time to reduce

the water in his juices. He'll need lots of fluids to keep things moving.

Is he having hard, dry stools very infrequently? That could be constipation.

If so, there is a constipation protocol at

I've put applesauce in ice cream made with yogurt. Also bananas in the coconut

ice cream. I've thought about squash, honey and cinnamon ice cream but haven't

gotten around to it.

I sometimes put a little honey in these to make them more of a

treat. You could try making them with peanut butter if he tolerates

that, just for a flavor change.

The only way my son eats any fruit or veggie other than bananas is

frozen like a popcicle. you can use molds, or the tiny Dixie cups

with popcicle sticks in them. I usually try to have 2 different

varieties on hand so he can choose his " flavor " . I combine 2-3

fruits and veggies in each, with at least one veggie in each combo.

I cook and puree all (especially since we're only a month into it)

but if you have a blender/food processor that would puree them

enough, you wouldn't have to even cook them. Right now I have

butternut squash, peach, pineapple. He just finished all the

blueberry, banana, cauliflour. I have used combos of applesauce,

pear, banana, peach, pineapple, strawberry, 3 kinds of squash,

carrots, cauliflour. Hmmmm, that's all I can think of right now.

The blueberry make purple, strawberry red, carrot orange. So you can

make his favorite color of popcicle. Good luck!
