Hi Patty,

I had 2 resections and after that went through IF treatments in hopes

of conceiving sooner than the RE thought we would do on our own. I

did one cycle of natural IUI (no meds) ending in a chemical pg, 3

rounds of clomid/IUI and 2 rounds of gonal-f/IUI (the last resulting

in my dd). I'd be glad to answer any questions you have either on

the board or in private.

Patty,

I am currently taking tamoxifen (similar to clomid) - being monitored

by u/s and having an hcg shot to release the egg at the right time.

This is only the 2nd month for this drug. No success so far. I was

on clomid about a year ago before finding out about SU & having

surgery - it had too many negative side effects so my RE didn't want

to try it again. Feel free to email me off the board re: questions

or concerns you have.

Patty,

I had fertility treatment prior to my resection - 3 failed

clomid/IUI's. My first RE never looked at any uterine issues or

endometriosis for me.

When I went to my second RE it was one of the first things he looked

at. By ultrasound he felt I had either a septum or BU - surgery

confirmed the septum and it was removed, along with stage II endo.

I'm currently on a 3 month healing break, and I am in month 2. I

will be resuming fertility treatment in January. This time we'll be

doing IUI with injectibles. My RE is very optimistic that it will

work now!
