Hi everybody question for ya, does anyone now anything about atenolol

causing hard, audible beats?,or could this be a mental thing resulting

from many years living with a-fib.

I definitely notice more purposeful beats on atenelol, which I never ever felt

before.. If I was in NSR I couldn't feel my heart at all.. now I sit here and

can definitely feel it beating!I've also read that atenelol works by making the

heart beat more purposefully.. at least I think it was the atenelol that I read

about!

Slow and steady.. and that's the way I like it.. my " active " heart rate, as

indicated on an ECG this morning is a whopping 48! I tried to do a cardio

workout on the elyptical trainer at the gym, and I couldn't get my rate over

110, so it automatically switched me to some other form of workout! I had to

laugh at that!

I have taken Atenolol for nearly fifteen years but haven't noticed hard,

audible beats that I could associate with Atenolol. Occasionally I have noticed

that I can feel very intense heartbeats in sinus, but that has usually been

associated with stress or physical activity.
