Guest guest
" I got 46 inches which would make him 3ft 10 inches. He is 51 pounds. " Well, that makes him a WHOLE lot fluffier than my guys. is 46 inches and 44 pounds. is 52 inches and 53 pounds. 46 inches puts him in about the 40th% for height. 51 pounds puts him in the 75th% for weight. http://pediatrics.about.com/cs/growthcharts2/l/bl_ibw_calc.htm " A 6 year and 6 months old (male) child who is 51 pounds and is 3 feet and 10 inches tall has a body mass index of 17.0, which is at the 82th percentile, and would indicate that your child is at a healthy weight. " So he is NOT underweight. To be underweight according to the goverment charts, he would have to weigh 41 pounds or less at 46 inches tall. Maybe the other kids in his class are overweight and the teachers are used to seeing chubby kids?? Guest guest
I am getting ready to figure out how to do the yogurt...everything is in. I am thinking of it as a probiotic strictly to heal the gut. Not dairy. Jr was a 24 hour responder on the starting the cf of gf/cf. We have been on that diet since 5-02. SCD now 12 days. So was his reaction from the gut being so bad in the beginning or was it from the peptides? Well fine out soon enough. It does make me nervous but I have faith in God that he will lead up down the right path for . Good luck, Marla P.S. IMHO, the only thing you should be worrying about is your son, that should be enough! What does others feel about that who have done GFCF????? I will let you know what the D.A.N.says. I am sure he if ok. I just worry about him so much and what others say.

When you are ready to try the yogurt let us know and we'll hold your (cyber) hand through it. You'll want to start with a tiny amount first and slowly increase it. The yogurt is pretty powerful stuff and is loaded with good bacteria which can cause more die-off. How are his bowels now? If he is still not settled into the diet you may want to wait another week or so at least.
