Guest guest
Kristi, I am so happy that your dad is still hanging in there. It sounds like his attitude is really courageous; I think that is very important. He is fortunate to have such a caring daughter. I hope that you will have him around for a long time. Guest guest
Hi Kristi: This is such wonderful news. Just goes to show you once again that doctors are not GOD and HE and only HE knows when it's time and when it isn't time. Your story will be very encouraging for the " newbies " who have been told that " their days are numbered. " Phooey on the statistics, cause that's all they are....statistics. Many make the mistake of getting caught up in those awful numbers and thus begins the downward spiral because deep down inside, I think they give up and hasten their own end. Your dad shows again what the will to live and the power of a good fight can do. May God continue to watch over you and keep your dad with you for many years to come. Hugs, Monika > Hey all > > I haven't posted in quite a while but I do read when I have the > chance and think that it is great to still be hearing from a lot of > the same people that I did when I first posted on this board 11 > months ago. Guest guest
WOW So glad you got that 2nd opinion....He will be like the bunny with the battery, going going and still going. Nick had the rash from the Avastin but it only lasted about 24 hours and then went away and he was sensitive afterwards. A friend told him to put a bottle of old fasioned plain MOM(milk of magnisia in the fridge) shake it really well and apply to the red. worked wonders. Initially the Avastin was great for him. So you just have to keep plugginh away and hanging tough. Seems you have that covered. best..hugs and prayers Nick & Jane
