Guest guest
First of all, congratualations!!! You definitely can't get an HSG while you're pregnant, because of the chemicals ... go to your new doc, tell her you're pregnant and ask for an ultrasound at around 7 weeks - they can verify heartbeat and check for placement of the egg sac - truly there isn't anything you can do to change things but more information will either reassure you or prepare you... The biggest thing will be to keep a close, early check on your cervix and get a cerclage if needed, as early as 12 weeks - so you definitely need to push for earlier care than the average Jo oh, and don't feel silly if you take another HPT or 3, we ALL do congrats again and best of luck Mikki
Guest guest
Sylvana, Congratulations!! My advice is to enjoy the first few moments of being pregnant! It's such a wonderful feeling, isn't it? At this point, all you can do is seek the best care possible and hope for the best! Eat right, get plenty of sleep, and take care of YOU first. Try not to stress over the hundreds of possibilities and scenarios that are running through your head. Don't worry about not having any " symptoms " yet--some people just don't get them this early on. Call your doctor first thing in the morning and insist on being seen as soon as possible, for your sanity, if nothing else. Congratulations again, and keep us posted here! Big fat sticky baby hugs to you, Jenessa UD, 27, and TTC again soon 1 m/c
Guest guest
Mikki, Thanks for the info. I'm going in to my new doc tomorrow to 'tell all' and see what she says. I am hanging on to my first referral to an OB/GYN just in case. I should also get a call back from the Midwifery Group here tomorrow - although if I end up with complications I know I may have to forgoe this option. We are super lucky here in B.C. to be covered for midwifery care. I am feeling fine so far - a bit lightheaded at times and tiny pinprickly feelings in my tummy - but otherwise ok. I am hoping all goes well and am continuously thankful for finding this board. You are an inspiration to me! Thanks again and good luck - hang in there - two beautiful boys in your future. Guest guest
Thanks Jenessa. I am trying really hard to just put all the negative 'possibility' thoughts out of my head. I go to see my Dr. today and see what she has to say about everything. It's taking a while to sink in because I don't feel any different except that I haven't had my period. I even took another test on Tuesday to check. The midwife's office should call me back today and they were so great when I called I am really hoping to get one and get to see her right away. I know I could really use the emotional support and thier office was so awesome when I called - no rushing me off the phone etc. So, wish me luck!
