Tammy, My trainer at the gym says to get a comfortable weight dumbell, like 3-5 pounds maybe. Start by grasping the dumbell with both hands, over your head, and then slowly lower it towards your shoulder blades. Do as many reps as you can until the muscles feel tired, but not overworked. Every other day is preferred, to give your muscles a chance to rest. I am using a machine at the gym that uses the same theory. Hope this helps! Guest guest
I was actually just researching this on the web just the other day, because this is a real problem area for me! My biceps (the upper side of the upper part of the arm) are firming up with the weight training I have been doing, but that underside is really flabby... Aparently this part of the arm is the Tricep, and none of my current exercises have been targeting it. I found a page that lists some exercises to target this muscle. You can also do a web search for " tricep exercises " . http://www.netfit.co.uk/trimen.htm Jette ----- Original Message ----- > hey, anyone have any ideas on workouts for upper arms? even when i > didn't weigh that much in high school my upper arms were fat.
