Hi !

I eventually got around to checking my emails! Sorry to have been so slack.

How are you going?? I feel I have been out of touch for so long!!

Jake is fine. He is so sweet. I still worry incessantly about him but I am sure

all new mums do that. He is now feeding quite well and the only issues we

really have is that of settling him. I wrap him up (much to his disgust!) as his

little arms are always flailing around and he hits himself in the head and wakes

himself up all the time. He struggles to get out of his wrap but eventually

realises it is not going to work then he falls asleep! Funny little boy. He

loves his bath but hates getting out (it is pretty cold here still so I don't

blame him!) and he loves going for walks in his pram which is good as I miss my

walking. I have lost 22 kg can you believe it and have around 8 kg to go before

I am back to normal!!

What is happening at your end of the world? I am sure you have lots to fill me

in on. Unfortunately this will be a short email as I have so many others to

reply to. I hope to get up here next week and will talk to you more then.

Take care

tte

First, congratulations on your precious little boy!!! :)

and don't worry about swaddling, my kids never liked to be swaddled either,

especially my son... he is 2 now and still kicks the covers off (just like

his Daddy ;) ... I just put him in season-appropriate weight sleepers

which gave him that cuddly warm feeling without restricting movement ...

even at 6 weeks some kids just want to be able to move!

Relax and enjoy your little boy while he is still little ... there's no " one

right way " to do things, as long as you don't drop him on his head too many

times he'll be just fine ;)

hugs
