Guest guest
I am a member of the board...however, I haven't been on much in the past few months. I have a very important question. I have just had my second Lap/Hyst to remove Endo and also had my vaginal septum removed. I have been reviewing the doctor's notes and this is what he wrote: " Her uterus had what appeared to be a single fundus but pressure in the midline caused indentation. " Now - here is my question...I have been diagnosed with UD - does his notes match that diagnosis? I thought I would not have a single fundus with UD - that that is what you have if you have SU? I am concerned about this b/c I want to be absolutely certain I have the right dx and the right treatment. We are actively trying (and have been for 2 yrs) to have a baby and if I have a septum, I would want it to be removed. I do have 2 cervices and just had a complete vaginal septum removed. Do you have any input???? Thanks so much, Marie 26, UD, Endo Vaginal Septum removed 9/10/04 TTC #1 - 2 yrs Clomid 100mg w/IUI
Guest guest
Hi Marie, Sorry to hear you're receiving/reading conflicting information. I'm no doctor, but I definitely think that his notes and an UD diagnosis seem to be in conflict of one another. I have UD & I pulled out one of my medical papers ( the fastest one I could find) and the description from this particular dr's notes are " patient has 2 cervices as well as 2 separate uterine caveties " later it states " didelphys uterus, with vaginal septum. Pregnancy in right horn " . As with all medical issues, my feeling is that if you're concerned, then the Dr. needs to discuss things with you better or more thoroughly. I hope you find some more detailed information!
