Elle,

I'm glad the shots didn't upset Noah too much. Gosh, I'm already dreading

that part and haven't even had this baby yet! lol And boy oh boy is he ever

growing!!! But that's great to hear!

Thanks! It's so hard not to snuggle with them! After I burb Noah, he

lays on my chest and falls asleep. I absolutely love it! Last

Sunday, Dh and I were still laying in bed and I nursed Noah and put

him on DH's chest. Daddy is hooked now too! It is the most

incredible feeling in the world!

I would love not to wear a nursing bra to bed! I did a couple of

times a couple of weeks ago, but I woke up with a soaking wet shirt!

I think about my angel babies too. Although, through all of that pain

and devastation, I was blessed by Noah. I can't help but think that

had I not gone through all of that I wouldn't have Noah. And, I

wouldn't trade him for anything in the world! As Jo-Ann said, there

is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

Hi Elle!!

I'm so happy that things are finally settling down for you, I know you

sound like you enjoyed the company, but it will be nice to just be a

little family for awhile too. It sounds like everything is going

great. I don't have any advice on the bra thing, I'm the only bf flunky

of this group :) I know I didn't like sleeping in it either (the two

weeks that I nursed...) but my nursing bra was really comfy so that

helped, and it was the only one that fit for about 6 weeks too, so I

really got alot of use out of it. Have fun with little Noah! As I said

to Pam, enjoy you innie belly button....believe me it could be ALOT

worse! :)

Elle,

I've always heard that babies will sleep through the night after they

hit about 11 lbs....but that doesn't apply to all babies....I've only

had two out of four kids that started sleeping all night at about 7

weeks, Andy kept it up until he was 6 months old, (then we had the

battle of the ear infections...) and Mikaela did it only for a month

then started getting up once a night again. She's down to sleeping all

night again but she's 7 months old now. Matt, our first, I swear didn't

sleep all night until he was a year old....Blake was worse (#3) he

didn't until he was a year and a half. Good luck!! :) I hope Noah isn't

quite as stubborn as Blake and Matt were! ;)

Hey Vicki!

Thank you so much!

We did appreciate the help, and we enjoyed our parents being here to

meet Noah, but on Sunday after everyone had gone, DH and I looked at

each other and stated how happy we were for it just to be our little

family!

My nursing bras are pretty comfy, but I hate wearing a bra 24/7!

We'll see what happens. And you're right about the bellybutton ~ it

could be a whole lot worse! Guess it will jsut be my motivation to

exercise!

Vicki,

Well, I hope that the 11 lb. rule applies ~ with the way Noah is

eating and gaining weight, we won't be too far from that goal!

Every child is so different, huh? And, all of the outside influences

that can affect a schedule!

I'm not sure how stubborn Noah is just yet, but he is not long on

patience, especially when he wants to eat! :o)

Elle,

It was great to hear form you, and encouraging to me to read that you already have him on such a nice schedule. Keep us updated on your little one and on yourself of course.

Elle,

I think it was around 5 weeks when I noticed that my nursing pads were dry,

so I stopped with the nursing bra at night.

Good luck w/ your follow up. I am sure that if you are feeling good the Dr.

will give you the go ahead ;).

The new job is going well. I hate being gone from the boys for so long each

day, but if I have to work (which I do right now :(.) it is the right job to

have. It is much less stressful, the money is good and I have a great boss.

Take Care.

Elle,

From the sounds of it, Noah is a pretty laid back baby, so he SHOULD go

by the 11 lb rule!! :) Matt was an extremmmmmmmmely cranky baby, very

high maintenance...we always had to stand and bounce him, Blake was

colicy for 2 weeks from 7 weeks to 9 weeks old for 2 hours every night

he'd scream....that got old quick, one week later he was fine, but also

kind of high strung. Andy and Mikaela are/were both really laid back

easy babies. Noah sounds like a little sweetie.

Vicki,

Thanks! I'm wondering if Noah is on the verge of sleeping through the

night. Night before last, I woke up at 3am and hadn't heard anything

from Noah, so I went and woke him up. He only nursed for about 15

min. total, which is about half of what he normally nurses. I

realized after I woke him up that I did a really stupid thing. That

was probably the night he would begin sleeping through the night and

then I went and woke him up! Then last night, he woke up at 3:15am

and again only nursed for 15 min. Does it sound like he is beginning

to not need to eat that much at night???

Elle, sorry... jumping in here... I don't remember exactly how old was when she started sleeping through the night... but it sounds a lot like what Noah is doing. She'd wake up at the same time and I'd go fix her a bottle... She would always fall asleep almost as soon as I'd give it to her, if not before. I found she was starting to wake up more out of habit than hunger... I started to just hold her until she fell back to sleep and gradually progressed to just rubbing her back, until the "habit" stopped and she just slept through the night. It really didn't take that long at all once I figured out what was going on... probably just a couple of weeks at the most. Noah may be working toward the same thing... Amy 40w 5d... c-section tomorrow!! Update on Noah and Elle> > > > >> > > > >> > > > > Hi Everyone!> > > > > My MIL and FIL left on Saturday. just making a little noise, not a real cry....you know the difference,

babies make alot of noises when they are asleep. He sounds like he'll

be snoozing for a good long time at night before you know it! ;)
