If they recommend one company it is generally a good one. Do you currently have medicare,an hmo,ppo,aarp as secondary? There are so many plans and sometimes they vary from State to state. I thought the info re the free air flight for terminally ill cancer patients was exceptional. There are so many dofferent plans it is hard to negotiate the road. It seems we all have different coverages. I hope you feel better about your uncles situation and for yourself too. Take care,hope all works out,hugs and prayers from us to you all. Be sure to check your Better Business Bureau to make sure it's a " real " health insurance company. There are so many scam artists these days you cannot be too careful. How about Blue Cross/BlueShield? Too expensive? Betty Younger brother in KY. age-62 10/01 CC; resection; TMN stage: pT3N2MX (Stage III) 5FU/Lev-6 months 9/03 PET showed recurrent met (left para-aortic malignant lymph nodes); Xeloda/Oxiplatin infusions and 25 radiation treatments Hospitalized 2/04--8 days severe hand/foot syndrome & diahrrea- 30 lb weight loss; colonscopy-clear.
