Guest guest
Hi Ladies Well Belle is one month today. I can't believe it. I also decided to get on the scale for the first time since she was born. I don't know how accurate it is since I only got weighed in at the dr's w/clothes and shoes on. My last weigh in was probably at 37 weeks. I was 127. On my scale this morning I was 106.5. I was pretty happy. Although my thighs still look huge. I am 11.5 lbs away from prepregnancy weight. I have a couple of questions. My belly button looks sunken in. Does it even back out? I still have a very dark line between belly button to pubic line. How long does it take to fade? Guest guest
Wow... I can't believe Belle is already a month old... Unbelievable... You've done great on the weight! Congrats!! I can't really answer your questions but I can tell you that in my experience pregnancy changes your body. With I got back down to my pre-pg weight, but my body was just different. All of my clothes fit me different... I guess if you're working out it probably goes back to the way it was, but for me weight loss wasn't enough. I don't know if everyone is like that... I guess we'll have to see what the other ladies say. Amy 39w 1d weight loss Hi LadiesWell Belle is one month today. I can't believe it. Guest guest
Amy I want to start exercising again. I guess I will wait until my next check up to find out when. I was kind of thinking of starting after the holidays. I think some weight loss is due to the fact that I hardly have time to think of myself. Sometimes I can't believe what time it is and I haven't had a chance to eat yet. How are you feeling? Your due date is quickly approaching. Guest guest
Pam, Hee hee....just be happy that your belly button is sunken in ok? Remember mine became an outie and stayed that way until I had hernia surgery in May!!! Ok, no really, as far as the weight goes, you are doing great, you will be right back to normal soon, I would say in 6 months if you are not really trying. Like Amy said though, your clothes may not really fit the same way again....but you should be back pretty close to normal. I think that it takes a year for your skin to " remember " what size it was before, so hang in there on that issue. As far as the line, I didn't get one so I can't offer any advice (I did get a big ole stretch mark there though...) Your thighs will eventually go back to semi-normal too, it just takes your body awhile to remember that it is not pregnant anymore and let go of that extra weight. Jeans that were skin tight on me two weeks after Mikaela was born are super loose on me now, sooooo....anyway, I hope that helped. Vicki PS I can't believe Belle is a month already either!! Where does the time go??? giguerepw@... wrote: > > Hi Ladies > > Well Belle is one month today. I can't believe it. I also decided to > get on the scale for the first time since she was born. Guest guest
Vicki Thanks for the info. I did try on a pair of jeans last weekend that I bought at the beginning of my pg. They were just a little tight. They are one size above my normal size. I really want to get into better shape. I really got out of shape prior to getting pg. I feel like I have total thunder thighs. That I think is the hardest part to work on. I was really lucky. I did not get one stretch mark. Pam

Guest guest
Pam, Congrat's on the weight loss! That is incredible. I still have about 15 pounds to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight and unfortunately it's gotten kinda stuck! I hate to cut out any more food/calories because it affects my milk supply, so I guess I'll just have to let time take it's course. I never got that dark line you were talking about, which surprises me with having dark hair, etc... I have heard though, from friends, that it can take about 6 months to completely fade away. My belly button went back to normal very quickly, so I'm sorry I can't help with that either! {{{HUGS}}}

Guest guest
You are right on track if your jeans fit already! Your thighs will get smaller, I promise! After you go back for your post-part. check-up the Dr. should ok you to exercise. Just strap on that baby pack and go for a walk if it is still nice out. Mikaela loved being in the baby pack, if she was really fussy in the early evenings we'd strap her on and go for a walk around the block. You are lucky not to have gotten any stretch marks, you must have inherited good skin. They say it will be like your mothers....my Mom had lots of stretch marks and vericose veins, so far I've lucked out on that, most of my stretch marks don't show in a swimsuit, they are all on my butt and one on my stomach...so unless I'm inclined to wear a thong swimsuit (not likely) they are covered. I think you'll be back to normal weight sooner than you think. Vicki giguerepw@... wrote: > > Vicki > > Thanks for the info.
