Guest guest
Hi, Having read all the material, and the posts on this board, it seems like most of you have autistic children, or UC. I would be really grateful if the celiacs on the list could tell me how the diet has benefited them. Also, I hear of a lot of suffering from diarrhea, but not much of constipation. Are there cases out there where the latter was cured? Thanks. You can either post on the board, or email me privately.

This means if I were to eat illegals I'd be in pain. As it is I get swollen on occasion but nothing like before SCD. We certainly aren't immune to episodes of stomach flu. I have never considered either another diet or concerned myself with being able to take back excluded foods eventually. SCD supplies my needs and my desires too. Carol F. Guest guest
My youngest is celiac and on the diet. We caught it early tho - I believe his celiac was immunization induced as the gluten intolerance started right after shots. Before that he had mild food allergies but wheat/gluten did not cause him any problems at all. The diet keeps him with normal bm's. I have to watch certain fruits as he doesn't tolerate some of them, and some dark veggies like spinach and green beans, but I believe that won't be long term. Guest guest
, I can't help with your UC question because my daughter is ASD, but I can answer your constipation question. My daughter has been on the diet for 24 days and has been constipation free since day 3. Before the diet she never had a normal BM and would go days without one at all. She only had turds before. By the 4th day of the diet she thought she was having diarrhea, but it was just a normal BM which she had never experienced. She is 7 and continues with the diet because it makes her stomach feel better.
