Guest guest
Hi all, here I am again grasping at any shred of information. Has anyone on the list had recurrence with liver mets, adrenal met and retroperitoneal lymphadenopathy. If so what did you have done and what can I expect. I want to see my kids get through high school and college and I will do whatever it takes to get me well and see that. I need some real advice and real hope. I am so tired of them telling me that I only have a possible of 2-3 years at best. I want more, I want to be here alive well and with my family. I guess I need some assurance that it is possible and that the fight I have will get me there. Jennie
Guest guest
More… There’s a man in Utah who was written off by his doctors with Stage 4. This was a LONG time ago, I forgot how long. He is alive and has written a book. When Mom was first diagnosed I got the two of them on the phone, and I ordered his book for her. I have lost his contact information, but when I go to visit her next I will look for the book and post his info. He is a very kind person. I found him through some kind of internet search, but cannot remember how. M Hi all, here I am again grasping at any shred of information. Guest guest
Hi , The best chance of going for a cure and/or extending your time is with aggressive surgery. Unfortunately, not many surgeons will operate when their is metastasis to the lymph nodes. If your surgeon is offering to do it, I would advise you to have the surgery as soon as possible. My sister's condition is similar to yours. Through this wonderful support group I found the name of a surgeon who is willing to be very aggressive and will operate on the main sites and also take out the lymph nodes. He operated on my sister in November, and since it has come back, he has agreed to operate again in late May or June. His name is Steckler. His # is . He is located at Medical City in Dallas, Texas. We had to fly there from the Chicago area, but it was worth the expense since could find no other surgeon willing to operate. He will review films and reports if you send them to him in the mail. This way he can evaluate what is possible for him to do. This is just an FYI for you and anyone else who might need it. > Hi all, > here I am again grasping at any shred of information.
