Thanks so much everyone for your responses. IT is good to see so

many success stories. I always somehow knew that it wouldn't be

easy for me, but I do believe that it will happen someday.

I think that I am going to investigate an RE. Does anyone know how

likely insurance will pay for this stuff? My insurance was good for

the D & C, but won't cover a pregnancy until May 05. To add insult to

all of my injuries, my husband lost his job yesterday, and I am in

the process of trying to get my Freelance design business started,

sooooo paying out of pocket would be difficult right now to say the

least. But, I think that getting it taken care of ASAP is crucial,

so that we can go on with life. I am willing to go into a little bit

of debt, to have a baby!

Thanks again,

Gretchen

Gretchen, insurance everywhere can be SOOOO different, so there's no

real standard answer, but since this is treatment of a congenital

defect, and not fertility treatment, it's a pretty good bet that

MOST insurance will cover it. You may have to jump through some

hoops of getting referrals, etc., though.

There are some states (mostly east coast, I think) where health

insurance is required to pay for fertility treatments, as well.

You probably need to check with your insuarnce carrier, though. It

seems very odd that they would not cover pregnancy until May, so you

may have a really non-typical kind of coverage. Never hurts to

ask. And if they deny at first, it's very appeal-able.

Good luck.

Thanks, I am in Columbia, SC with BlueCross Personal Blue plan. The

reason they won't cover pregnancy is b/c it is personal coverage that I

just obtained in May, and there is a pregnancy ryder that they won't pay

for a normal pregnancy for 1 year. I don't know if I am going to fall

under abnormal pregnancy or not. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
