Deanna,

I did not have metroplasty, but I did have a major rupture of my

uterus which split it in half, and had it repaired. I also had my

septum resected three months after the repair. Several months

later, I got pregnant. My chance of re-rupture was estimated at

around 2%, and I was told I could not go into active labor, or I

would almost certainly rupture. During the lap/hyst to remove the

septum, the doctor did check the scar to confirm that it was holding

well. And, I had a dye test to confirm that there were no blockages

and that the septum was gone (there was about 2cm left).

Despite having a rescue cerclage at 22wks due to IC, five weeks of

bedrest at home, PTL resulting in three more weeks of bedrest at the

hospital, and finally more PTL resulting in an emergency c-section

at 30wks, I have brought home a happy, healthy baby boy.

So, yes, it can be done! Hang in there, build a relationship with a

peri or RE, and keep us updated!

> Sorry - what is a peri? RE? IC?

Peri=perinatologist (specialist that helps you stay pregnant)

RE=reproductive endocrinologist (helps you get pregnant)

IC=incompetent cervix (cervix opens early...don't know too much more)
