Guest guest
Layci I am so glad for you that all seems to be well - wishing you a uneventful happy 9 months! Janine First Sonogram Today (pg ment) Well, I just wanted to update everyone and let you know that I had my first sonogram today. I was very worried about being able to see the heartbeat this early but it was there and very noticable! The baby measured 8 mm (right on 6 weeks, 6 days) so my calculations were exactly correct. The baby is also in my left uterus which is the same side that my baby girl was in, so that's a good thing too since that side has already expanded to 19 weeks. We are sooooo excited and very scared at the same time, but at least we did over come one milestone today and that was seeing that heartbeat! I see my dr. on 8/23 so we will find out more about when I will have my cerclage and begin bedrest. My doctor told me that she would almost certainly do the cerclage at 15 weeks. Does that sound like a reasonable time to do it? Both doctors I have had say that they don't like doing cerclages before that time because they want to make sure that the probability of a natural miscarriage will not occur. Both of the doctors said that they do cerclages at 15-17 weeks, but since I lost my baby girl at 19 weeks, my dr. said she would do mine at 15. I'm really nervous about all of this but I am excited to get things going. Anyway, I just wanted you all to know that all is well! Guest guest
Hrey Layci, 15-17 weeks sounds normal to me. When I found out about my BU at 11 weeks, the peri didn't even want to see me again until I was 14-15 weeks, and then he was going to start doing cervical checks. He wasn't going to do a cerclage until he thought it was necessary (saw evidence) and also said that they don't like doing them until at least 14 weeks due to " natural miscarriages " . I hope all goes well with this pregnancy for you. I know it has to be hard, but try and enjoy the pregnancy. I wish you all the best. , 24, BU/SU?, 1 m/c
