Guest guest
> I have felt a decrease in baby movement lately & I thank god That's pretty typical, as the baby gets bigger there isn't room to dance anymore, just wiggle . With a UU it may be happening a little earlier then usual as you have a bit less room for expansion than most, that's all... I've been told with the twins to expect to feel LESS movement rather than more since they'll be pretty cramped... What I was told in previous pregnancies is that if you can't feel 8 movements in an hour of lying down on your left side (so your movements don't lull the baby or mask it's movements), at least once a day, then call your doctor... hope this helps, good luck MIkki
Guest guest
I experienced that when pregnant with my son. In my case, I believe he was running out of space, so to speak. He was born at 37 weeks, but was only 5 lbs 2 oz, which is really small for that gestational age. He was just fine, only played catch up on the eating front for 3 mos. I would definitely keep mentioning it to your doctor. It helps to give stats -- that's how the docs think. So, if you are concerned you might want to actually count movements. For example, if less than 3 in an hour I think they would probably react -- and might recommend a full bioscan (fetal heartbeat monitoring and ultrasound to check fetal vitals). Try not to worry too much! Best of luck. t Mom to Max, born 8/1/03 > I have felt a decrease in baby movement lately & I thank god > everytime the little guy/girl get's the hickups. Guest guest
--- jen- I did not feel a whole lot of movement with DS---- he was head down from like 28 weeks on, and grew in the right side of my uterus only--- I felt like he just didnt have a lot of room to do somersaults etc..... it may be a similar situation for you- I had a baby beat doppler, that I could hear the babys heartbeat whenver I was worried-- -this put my mind at ease----its not the answer for everyone---but I loved it---www.babybeat.com I also found one that I just ordered for this prg at www.hearttones.com I think it was a little less expensive---you rent them, and pay a monthly fee--- good luck!
