Guest guest
The best magnesium is Magnesium Glycinate. This is the easiest for your body to assimilate and use. I use it from a company called Metagenics. I take two 200mg tablets. My doctor recommends Magnesium Lactate. A-FibFriendSteve

First there was magnesium, then magnesium citrate was better (which I'm taking as it's easy to find), then magnesium taurate was better, now magnesium glycinate??????????? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What's the difference between them? The Schachter Center post said taurate assimilated the best ... can anyone give an explanation of the difference between these? Thanks all! What's the difference between them? That I don't know (every web site I go to lists all the different ones - and there's MORE than you think! but NOT the difference...), but I also heard the Glycinate was best so I take Solgar's Chelated Magnesium (which is glycinate). It also has a smooth coating which makes taking this rather large pill easier. When I first started taking it the skipped beats I had been having suddenly stopped so I thought, wow, this stuff works. When I mentioned it to my dr. he said " let's see what happens over a year... " . A few weeks later I went in to chronic afib..I still take it, though.
