Guest guest
Hi DoriAnne, Thank you for answering. And I am very > tempted to have more tests done to confirm the UD > diagnosis because I tend not to trust things. I am > waiting to be able to afford copies of my MRI pictures > so that I can look at them with my own two eyes and > see if I agree with the radiologist....anyone got $140 > I can borrow )??? J/K As I said i am being refered to a specialist soon so I'll probably be having more tests soon to confirm, (Which I will probably be coming on here to ask you all about). And I really wanted to see the uss but the radiologist that did it for me didn't let me. I was abit upset but I'm sure they'll let me see one day. Guest guest
Hi Ros, I don't know what the laws are in your state, but you have a right to at least view your medical records/films. I belong to Kaiser in Northern California and they lent me my films from my MRI free of charge. Even if they won't give you copies, I'm sure if you became a squeeky enough wheel they would let you check them out. You may even want to suggest that they let you borrow them since it may be a policy to allow patients to borrow records but it might not be widely advertised. I'm very happy that I was able to view my films, though, because I took them to a doctor outside of my group plan who found that nothing could be viewed very well from the MRI. Kaiser's radiologist had dx'd me as arcuate with sub-septum but when I saw the outside doctor she said " give me a break! You can't tell anything from this...you need to have a lap/hyst done to really see the outside contour and to get a good view of the septum " . I contacted my doctor at Kaiser who said that she had felt a little iffy about the DX from the radiologist as well and was just about to call me to schedule me with an RE to do a lap/hyst. I did have to argue with my health plan to finally schedule me with an RE without trying to charge me for infertility treatment since what we have is a birth defect (thank you to all of the wonderful ladies here who helped me with this) and not just an infertility issue. Now I'm patiently waiting for day 3 of my cycle (today's day 2) to get blood work done and get scheduled for my consultation with the RE. It's amazing how long it takes to get things straightened out, but I've found that by being VERY pushy and standing my ground when the insurance company tries to give me minimal service that I am finally getting the medical care I deserve. I hope you get access to those films and get a definite DX! Jasmine BU? Guest guest
Jasmine, It does take a long time from begining to end. It took me 3 m/c to get referred to an RE. From there I had to wait 2 months for an apt. The it was 4 more months from first apt to my septum resection. Now DH and I are in mo 3 of ttc. - Liz Liz > >Reply-To: MullerianAnomalies >To: MullerianAnomalies >Subject: Re: D.J.
