Guest guest
Layci, It's me again! I would recomend investing in the Clearplan OPK. It is aobut $100 on ebay and the sticks are about 50 for a 3mo supply. They are very accurate with no interpretation for you! It is a great investment. - Liz Liz > >Reply-To: MullerianAnomalies >To: MullerianAnomalies >Subject: Is this possible? Guest guest
HI Layci, I don't know the answer to your question as I, too, have extremely irregular cycles. Given the nature of the hormonal cycle, I would think that ovulating twice with so many days apart is pretty unlikely...BUT WE ARE UNLIKELY, TOO. Sorry I can't be more help on this one. I don't know if you recall, but you and I are pretty similar, fused UDs that are pretty symmetrical and with a resected vaginal septum. What I didn't know about you is that you have a hard time ovulating on your own. Personally, I don't think I have ever ovulated. From the age of 14 I was on the pill b/c my periods were soooo messed up. Last year I stopped the pill and I wouldn't menstruate. I'm constantly taking Provera to induce a bleed. I'll be starting my second cycle of Clomid in the next weeks. How many mgs did you take before you got pregnant? and did you do IUI? Did you know you were UD at that time? I'm getting pretty nervous about the whole Clomid thing...I had unrealistic expectations that it would work the first time...but it didn't even tickle my ovaries. I'm moving up to 100 mgs this next cycle. Valentina
Guest guest
Layci, I don't have UD, but I have used the saliva kit. Totally worthless for me. I was repeatedly showing high levels of estrogen (the fern pattern). I suggested to my RE that I could be estrogen dominant and she just blew me off. Anyway, just thought I would share my experience with you regarding this. Some women seem to find the saliva kit very helpful, but for us it was a waste of time and money. I hope that you really are pregnant!!! That would be the best news! Mikell, 32 t-shaped
Guest guest
> Anyway, what I really need to know is if it is possible to ovulate > twice with UD? Thanks for your info. in advance! Layci- Interesting question. I did a heck of alot of research on this. Some women do ovulate more than one egg per cycle. Almost 100% of the time, however, the eggs are released w/in 24 hrs of each other. This is how fraternal twins occur. Note, however, that I said " almost 100% " . I typed that b/c when I was TTC I actually had a cycle or two where I was pretty sure (w/OPKs, O pain & other symptoms and charting) that I released 2 eggs 10 days apart. I knew I released two eggs occasionally anyways since I once m/c'd fraternal twins (which run in my family), but the whole eggs-released-more-than-24-hrs-apart thing is apparently not supposed to be found in nature. I did " meet " other women online who swear they had the same experience. My doc explained it by saying that I probably had an HCG surge, got close to O and then had it back off, but that didn't explain the distinct O pain, first on one side and then 10d later on the other. That doesn't answer your question, does it? <<grin>> My personal opinion is that most docs don't feel it occurs in nature but you can't convince me it doesn't happen in extremely rare circumstances. As far as charting, I was pretty hopeless at it for a while. I can't temp due to other medical issues (hot flashes & disrupted sleep cycles) so I was having a rough time of it. It took me AGES to get it down. I tried fertilityfriend.com free charting software but didn't have luck with it. I finally took Taking Charge of Your Fertility out of the library and read it cover to cover - it helped a bit but most importantly I learned that THEY make a FABULOUS charting software (not free). I don't know why it worked better help me figure it all out! I highly recommend it if charting is wigging you out. As far as OPKs, I tried the super cheapo brand I bought on the internet. Big ol waste of money and sanity - 22 days of " maybe " . Poor DH. He started to twitch when I looked suggestively at the bedroom : ) I ended up buying the clearblue/clearplan/whatevertheyarecalled OPKs in the red box and had VERY conclusive results (ha ha - extremely good results ... we're naming her Audrey!). I'm rambling. Anywho, hope some of that helps! G
