Until 6 weeks prior to diagnosis they had no symptoms of celiac. Their doctor said that stress, a virus, etc. can turn the gene "on" and that is when their symptoms began. My husband and I were tested and the results were negative. My sons will be retested soon, now that they have been gf for one year. I have also asked to be retested.
