I have had considerable bruising while on Coumadin, but none of the bruises

have caused serious problems. Even before I started Coumadin, I had a problem

with bruising as did my mother, so I think that some people are naturally more

susceptible to bruising and Coumadin just aggravates the tendency. If your

INR is all right, you are probably all right too, but it wouldn't hurt to

discuss it with your doctor.

Hi, I got your emails to day but was at doctor's all afternoon.

I used to get a lot of bruising when I first started Coumadin in May

of 03, but now I seem to just get regular bruising with normal bumps,

etc.

, I bruise everywhere its possible to " bang " something up, even when I

don't even realize I've hurt myself. When I do realize that I've done

something that will result in a bruise, I put an ice pack on it for about 20

minutes

and this greatly reduces the intensity of the bruise.

Stef: your post just rang a bell with me, I started taking Ester C

about 2 months ago........and have noticed that the bruising has

diminished a lot since I first went on Coumadin in May 03. Thanks

for ringing my bell! LOL
