Terri,

I had my surgery 15 months ago and have lost 85#. I was out of work for

4 weeks. I have experienced dumping many times, yet I continue to push

the envelope sometimes. At this point, I can really eat anything,

including sweets in small amounts. I'm very lucky in that I can tolerate

all foods, eat normally, and have had no complications. The hard part is

watching what you eat, but you just have to keep it in mind all the

time.

MJ -

I also have been stuck in the same 3 pound rotation for the past

three + weeks. They told me to make sure to drink more and keep the

exercise going. But that was two weeks ago and nothing. But the odd

thing is I am still losing inches and fitting into clothes I haven't

worn in 5 years so go figure! Have you measured yourself lately and

compared? I know that made me feel better.

I am finding that getting the right food to eat is very hard.

Especially now that I am at work. I eat a few slices of apple and I

can feel queasy for a bit - not much of a problem when I was at home

and could just take it easy but horrible at work. So I am almost

afraid to eat at work....luckily, I've only dumped once and my

cubicle is near the bathroom! (I was in charge of the new floorplan

before I left for surgery - and don't think that I didn't consider

that in my determination, and am glad for it now!!)

Good luck on the next dilation. MJ - I did just read an article in

Dartmouth Hitchcock's newsletter from someone who had VBG, then RNY

and a bunch of other surgeries for various complications inbetween

and she says she is STILL glad she had the surgery. So, chin up! But

I will be crossing my fingers that you can avoid anymore.

Don't give up ... Things will get better ... {{{{{{{BIG HUG}}}}}}} You

would think that if you didn't eat the weight would just fall right off but

the body doesn't work that way :)

I hope things work out this time....
