Guest guest
Hey, I went to have what would have been my LAST (of 8) treatments today. BUT, evidently, this c-dif(sp?) is pretty bad stuff and it can, oh say, kill ya... (from what the Onc says) She says I have to completely get rid of it in the next two days I will have to go back into the hospital for IV drugs and controlled environment. I've been on dose-dense/every 2 weeks vs three for the past 4 months. She called me a "poor woman" and said she has been feeling my pain and she has only rarely seen a patient come up with so many of the side effects. Well, she's seen all the side effects but not all of them in one patient. OH LUCKY MEEEE! I have a bunch of stuff I probably haven't mentioned, like the peeling skin/raw and the numb and tingling. It's also the "club feet" and hands. I probably mentioned the "flu symptoms" like extra achey throughout the entire body and then of course, add the bone pain and joint pain. The bronchial stuff, lungs full of bluk. The allergic reaction to decadron. helllloooooo, anything else? And she said I was getting dose-dense because I was soooo healthy! LAUGH! Well, I guess I was...now, it's questionable. :-) Hope everyone is having a great day. Mine are getting better. hugs! Dari fastest2@... Guest guest
Dari, My heart goes out to you. Must be hard knowing you have one last treatment and its just out of reach. What a trooper you have been! I can only hope I can maintain a positive attitude like you have.... just fighting WHATEVER a day at a time. Hopefully, you will kick this bug and get on to your last treatment. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Guest guest
So glad your days are getting better. And if they put you in the hospital, you know you will get better. Sorry to hear you have so much pain. I have had peeling of my skin on my fingers but not my feet, so far, and am slathering on the best cream I have to help them heal. Janet-IDC p.s. Trisha Have Fun!!
