HI Dave,

Thanks so much for sharing your list! My favorite one of yours is that Life

is unpredictable and exciting. I too embrace stressful or difficult things as

challenges.

I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who have posted the things you've

learned! I've enjoyed reading them very much.

Things I've learned...

Here are some things I've learned in the past year and 2 months:

The IgA Nephropathy Support Group is wonderful (Thanks Guys!).

Health: you don't know what you got until it's gone.

It's more fun to fight back than to sit back and mope.

If you don't ask for something, you won't get it.

My family is more important than work.

It's great to have friends when you get sick.

It's easier to be empathetic with sick people after you've had a

chronic illness yourself.

Pain sucks, and severe pain can make you bonkers.

Life is unpredictable and exciting; When things go wrong, try see it

as a challenge, because the alternative is sad and boring.

Naps are addictive. So is coffee.

I wish exercise was addictive; I love it, but it's hard work!

I can be a great dad, husband, son, patient, friend, and doctor --

as long as I don't try to be " the best " at any one of those things.

Life is a balancing act.

Thanks again!

Dave I think if more people realized this fact there would be less stress in

the world. My husband has helped me greatly reduce the amount of work I put

upon myself. I still am very good at what I do, I just don't burn myself

out doing it anymore. Thanks so much for sharing your list.

Bonnie I see many people in this group hidden within your words. Thanks for

your list of wisdom gained.

Sophia thanks again for your list too, I've taken away much from everyone

sharing here.

And thanks to everyone here on the board, without everyone's support over

the past year I don't know where I would be right now.

This is wonderful Dave! I particularly liked " it's more fun to fight back

that sit back and mope. " .
