Hi Priya,

I am glad you have the biopsy behind you. Do let us know when you get the

results. Remember to still take it easy as far as lifting for a while longer

until you fully recover.

Take care,

Hi Guys,

I am back from my biopsy and feel great...have not yet known the

result as of now, although my neph told me that he would let me know

by last friday...anyways abt the biopsy, it was not at all bad.....i

mean i was so amazed to see my kidney during the procedure that i

did not even bother what was happening around....my neph was

surprised to see that too.....the most difficult part was, as u all

told me, the lying down in the hospital for 6 hrs continuously.

However, it was made easy by my husband and friends. So overall, it

was not at all a bad experience, although i wouldn't want to do it

again....will keep u all updated....haffun ....

Hi priya

Glad it turned out Ok, as it usually does. Good luck with the results.

Hi Priya,

Glad to hear that you sound so upbeat! Waiting for biopsy results can drive you

nuts. The specimen is looked at via light microscopy, electron microscopy and

immunoflourescence studies. The light microscopy results are available almost

immediately - the others take longer (up to a few weeks). However, if you are

feeling ancy, you can always call your neph for the light microscopy results.

Much of the diagnostic information is found in the light microscopy studies.

Let us know as soon as you hear!

Hi Priya,

Great to hear that you are home and in recovery mode after your biopsy.

They are fairly easy on the system for most of us....even with my multiple

stabs (they took 6 samples from me) it really wasn't too bad. I had to stay

the night in the hospital after mine due to my b/p being slightly elevated

and the fact that I homeschool my kids and my neph didn't think I would stay

in bed for 24 hours. LOL!

Just remember to stick to your lifting restrictions, even if you feel great,

so you don't start bleeding and you'll be fine.
