Guest guest Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Lee Anne, I don't have the problem and don't really have any suggestions. If you are doing chemo I would ask the nurse/dr as it could be due to the chemo. Guest guest Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 My doctor said a lot of people have this problem when they are taking medicine and wonder what causes it. My oncologist told me that it is normal for some but others never have to worry. I did not really understand what she meant but it was something about body chemistry. She said it will go away after a while. She said it is just that when the medicine acts up with the cancer, it makes an odor and some people like to think it is the dead cancer cells making the smell. I think I like that explanation. She told me not to try to put on a lot of lotion and perfumes to cover the smell because they would just mix in and make the smell worse. Some people do have more problem with body smells anyway depending on what they are eating and who they are. Gerry Oh yes, the cornstarch is probably a good idea but for me, it would make me look gray! That's a joke, honey. I am A. A. and my dark skin and the white cornstarch don't go good together. Thank you Lord for your blessings to all of us. > > I've developed this horrible body odor. Does anyone else have this problem? > If so, what do you do about it other than bathe several times a day?
