Guest guest
Rita, You do have a good thing going and it sounds like does too! You both are great couple! I love your outlook on life and some of your posts make me hungry(especially for lasagna and tortellini soup, yum!!) Life can be good, life is good and we cannot forget that even with our PLS .Although I hope you do not mind when I vent or come to seek advice because you are the friends that understand this.If I could not do that here I would be a babbling idiot outside of this group. I think I only do that here. We all share something in common and we help one another. You guys keep me sane. You all are a part of my life even though I have not met most of you. And I like to help others here when I can. This is what friends are for- you are all truly a positive side of my life.! Thank you Rita and thank you PLS-friends!!! Guest guest
: I hope I am not sending the wrong message, of course you can vent all you want. I only wish I had this line when I was first diagnosed. I just want to make the people, especially the new one who are scared, confused and desperate, that there life doesn't e to be " doom and gloom " . Believe me I have my days of frustration. Last week I was at my mom, helping her put her pills in her weekly pill box. I dropped so many pills on the floor, because my hands wouldn't co-operate, I felt like such a klutz. On the other hand I was in my walk in closet, dropped something and I knew I shouldn't try to pick it up, but I tried. I braced my butt on what I thought was the back wall, but I didn't make it, and started to slide and ended up sitting on the floor. This is when I talk to myself, I said " girl think " . So I started to bounce the old butt towards the emergency pull string I have in my apartment, but the string was to high, couldn't reach it. I heard a knock on the door and a neighbor popped in and was she surprised to see me sitting there. She panicked and went to get , they picked me up and all was well. So you see I have my moments, but try to deal with them. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Guess thats life. Till next time, keep venting! It's healthy. Guest guest
Dear Rita, Oh I hope I did not give you that impression. I really do appreciate all the positive notes you bring out of this PLS.I am not sure what I was trying to point out last night except that this group has so many advantages that help us cope with disease. When we receive a diagnosis we may feel like life is doomed but when we come here to PLS-Friends we receive so many wonderful perspectives of how we continue to live with it. This not only applies to PLS but many aspects of our life. This is a great group and Rita I love what you have to say. And please no more falling on your bottom.
