Guest guest
I wonder if it works well with gluten free pasta...then I can get one just for my spaghettin and one for the rest of the crew... looks like it would be so much easier (if it really works!) If anyone has tried this I'd like to know what you think too. Wonder if Target carries it... they have a shelf of 'as seen on TV' products. :-) in VA Pasta Express Contraption Have any of you used this "Pasta Express" contraption (see below where I cut & pasted from their website) for making GF pastas? Guest guest
It should work fine with the glassy starch style noodles and probably corn pasta. With rice pasta, a lot would depend on how long it is supposed to cook -- I don't think it probably even works that well with most wheat pasta (just with that long thin spaghetti always shown in their ads). >Have any of you used this " Pasta Express " contraption (see below where I cut & pasted from their >website) for making GF pastas? Guest guest
I got the Pasta Express for the same reason. Thought I would keep one in the kitchen and one in the camper. The first time I used it, the noodles didn’t seem quite done. The second time they were fine (filled it completely with boiling water) I like it because it keeps everything contained. I was always afraid of accidental cc with 2 pots of water boiling and 2 serving spoons. Now I just set this off to the side while I’m make the pasta for the rest of the family. It has a built in strainer so you don’t have to worry about an extra strainer. Judy Gettysburg PA From: SillyYaks [mailto:SillyYaks ] On Behalf Of K. Guest guest
Judy, Thanks for your feedback. I thought this gadget would cut down on the amount of things (pots, pans, strainers) that need to be washed in our RV. We have a decent sized kitchen area, but the sink isn't that big. This gadget looked like a good thing for an RV (provided that the gadget does work). Melonie > > I got the Pasta Express for the same reason.
