Guest guest
have heard women describe hot flash as a match on your skin. Mine have not been that severe. I do feel hot sometimes which I guess that is one. I at first didn't know if that is what a hot flash is but I guess it is because it only lasts a few seconds. When I originally went to the Onc for BC she asked me if I was pre or post menopause. I said I wasn't sure. I had a uterine ablation that makes you stop bleeding. So no periods confused me as to whether I was pre or post. She asked if I had hot flashes. I said I think I might be. I said sometimes when I'm standing I get a feeling like I got up too fast. And sometimes in the middle of the night I get to feeling like I have a fever but I don't Kinda hot inside/clammy maybe. She said "you have NO IDEA what a hot flash is" and proceeded to verify that I was PREmenopausal. okie dokie, then. :-) But, as of my second taxol treatment, I have COMPLETELY felt like I was going to burn up. Standing in Wally World (walmart) I thought I was going to freak out. I was fighting the panic. I wanted to yank my hat off and lay my face on something cold. I ended up just taking my shoes off and standing on the cold floor. (It helped a little) :-) But, at night I've been ripping the covers off, Yanking my clothes off. I'M HOT!!!!!!!! Mine last for more than a few minutes. I had no clue it would feel like this. I guess because I thought I was already having them before the doc put a damper on that theory. Man, we women sure got the raw end of the stick on this part too. What do the men have in comparison? Nothing like the period their whole damn life and then when we finally get to stop having the periods what do we get? I was gonna say at least they get the bald thing... but I guess a whole lot of us women got that too! LOL Oh, life is such! :-) Dari fastest2@...
