I really wanted to call our baby Woody (after , as had been

watching a lot of his films at the time), but DH wouldn't let me

because of the connection with 'men's bits' and the boy would then be

beaten up in the playground when he grew up etc etc. (also speaking as

an ex teacher) She was a girl anyway! Maybe being a baby celeb

protects you from all that anyway - I certainly hope so considering

some of the names...

The parents will probably say that they named him after Woody Guthrie or someone

like that, but I do feel it is a little unfortunate with all the Toy Story stuff

around!

And married to " Fat Boy Slim " - sort of trendy dance music type person, AKA

Norman Cook what used to be in The Housemartins - sort of anorak/spectacles

wearing bouncy late 80's student music type person.

Re Zoe Ball and Norman " Fat boy Slim " Cook's baby, does anyone know what his

surname will be?

Woody Ball ?

Woody Slim (Would he slim, does he need to?)

or Woody Cook (reminds me of Can't Cook, Won't Cook?)

Just curious...

lol...no sorry. The only radio and TV personalities I remember from my life

in England were Tony Blackburn and Cilla Black...are they even alive now? Oh

and Bruce Forsyth. And I remember some weird show called the magic

round-about with a little guy on a spring called Zebbadee and a dog called

Dougall?

I remember them well. Must be something to do with children's television in

the 60s being in fairly limited supply, and no videos, so poor mothers must

have made sure we *always* watched them!

Re the Clangers and Bagpuss - I don't remember Bagpuss first time round but

we hire a video from the library of old TV favourites. The children love

it. It also has Ivor the Engine.

Anyone remember 's House (we called our childhood cats Zsa Zsa and

KiKi)
