Guest guest
Stick with it, it is harder to lose weight when you are close to your ideal weight. It is a lot easier for someone 100 pounds overweight to lose 20-30 pounds on induction, that it is for someone 15-20 pounds overweight to take off 5... You are getting close to ketosis though, it's just a matter of days. Dont be scared to eat carbs! Just make sure they are good carbs. You need the carbs for fiber, or else you can wind up constipated. Try steamed brocolli with butter, and melt a slice of cheese over it (real chedder). Add a couple slices of cucumbers and tomatos (but not too many!) to your salad. Drink water! This WOE will work but you need to make sure you are doing it right. I noticed you are eating a lot of protein. Try some more variety and fat. I will slice up some chicken and fry in olive oil with garlic and ginger when I need something different. Hamburger patties get boring FAST. Try a hamburger quiche for breakfast instead of bacon and eggs.... Look out for processed meats because they can have nitrates and salt. The link to the turtles menu is great! Another place with great menu's is at www.atkinsfriends.com they have sample induction menu's that can get you through induction, and you will be surprised to see the variety there. Still more meat and cheese than I like, but it should get you though just fine I dont know how you were eating before, but I personally think that fast food is killing our society! An ultimate cheeseburger from Jack in the Box has over 900 calories per burger! That's not counting super sized fries and a drink... I track calories (no not counting, but tracking) and I try to aim for 1300-1400 a day, but one of those meals is enough to put me over my counts for the whole day! I spent a while eating whatever... and eating too much of it... it's hard to go to this WOE at first, but just accept that if you follow it you will lose weight. Try the sample menu's for a couple days, you will find it easier, especially with someone else making the choices and telling you what is ok Dont forget to drink your water!!!
