Guest guest
Vivian I don't, but I do have a small notebook that I will write doctor questions in. If something is of concern that I want to mention, I notate it for my next appointment. Not recording things on a daily basis may be good for some, but I have a father who is obsessed with his health. He takes his blood pressure many times a day and records it, along with how he slept (time to bed, when he awoke, etc.) the time, color and texture of every bowel movement and anything else he can test. I think he would have a daily CBC if he could do it himself. Since I never want to be like this, I wouldn't think of keeping a daily journal. He doesn't even have mito. He is almost 84 and thinks he can feel like he did at twenty if his doctor would only find the cause of his problems and treat them appropriately. Well, there is my rant for the day. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Thu, 1 May 2003 23:22:59 -0500 > To: < > > Subject: RE: What about Journaling? > > Ellie talked about maybe needing to journal which a lot of her doctor's > recommend. Guest guest
Laurie, You are as steady as an oak. It is good to know that even the strong can rant now and again. It made me smile and remember that when I work for internist how some people were obsessed with what color their poop was and every other little thing. That is why I had to smile when the internist suggested that I was thinking too much about my body. I remembered today that I was having pelvic pain in January when I saw the pulmonologist and the only way I mentioned it was because she asked and it was happening then. She told me to call the internist. I thought no way, it will only cause me to come in again soon and shoot if it is not killing me or really impairing my quality of life, no way I’m mentioning it…I see too many doctors as it is! If I’m alive at 84 that would mean that I got to see my grandchildren and weddings and so much more; I won’t even care if my poop is purple! P.S. Today was my 16th wedding anniversary. and I had a wonderful time! I am so grateful for this day! can't sleep...that old stuck switch! > > Can't sleep again! :-( Mine has lasted 2 weeks as well. > Seems atmospheric, our weather is so crazy, but I did just get back 2 > weeks ago from helping during ' surgery. Guest guest
Hey a, Thank you for reading my e-mails! It was one of the best anniversaries ever. It started tough as I have been very tired the past couple of days, and had such a hard time getting out of bed. But luckily I have Provigil and took one. I know that I will pay the price tomorrow. But it was so lovely to spend time with my husband awake! And with energy! I have been reading your trouble with your hearing. I¡Çm praying for you this night! Vivian Re: RE: What about Journaling?
