Guest guest
Hi everyone, I want to thank everyone for their helpful advice and encouraging words for my Mom...I was jotting down names of all the special people I wanted to thank as I was going through the emails and the list got so long, I think it covered just about everyone anyway. This is why I don't post very often, all I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you... Geo, I do have one thing to add though. The butterfly rash does sound like rosacea as someone else already stated. I have that too. The things that trigger rosacea outbreaks are alcohol (the drinking kind), spicy food, sun exposure (any season), warm temperatures and STRESS. My doctor said I should wear sunscreen on my face everyday. People that have pale complexions and blush easily are more prone to get rosacea. See, I do know something after all! :-} Daryll Anne

Guest guest
I didn't see the previous posts, but I believe the butterfly rash is also a symptom of lupus. Check with a rheumatologist for a blood test for high ANA ratio and other things to look for. I went through that. Had a high ANA, but nothing else showed up so the doc said I was OK. > Hi everyone, I want to thank everyone for their helpful advice and > encouraging words for my Mom...I was jotting down names of all the > special people I wanted to thank as I was going through the emails > and the list got so long, I think it covered just about everyone > anyway. > > This is why I don't post very often, all I can say is thank you, > thank you, thank you... > > Geo, I do have one thing to add though. Guest guest
Yes, you are entirely right Edith. This is the voice of experience talking as I also have Lupus and at one time had the butterfly rash on my face. This is another one of the many diseases that is hard to diagnosis. Daryll Anne I agree with Edith that it is worth checking into. Jo! Re: Mom has PLS/ Thanks > I didn't see the previous posts, but I believe the butterfly rash is > also a symptom of lupus.
