Reminds me of a friend of mine, a doctor from San Francisco, when he EMailed me this item to bid on from EBay; it was an unused and original syphilis kit from distant decades past. It was a crude sort of device sort of like a douche bag-sorry ladies-which flooded the body with mercury. I suspect all those cases of syphilis with the bad symptoms and brain problems were caused in part by this method of " treating " the disease.
